Buy tickets“Rejoice, exult, praise these days” are the words of the opening chorus of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, where dance rhythms meet vital virtuosity. We wanted to start the year 2025, in which Klosters Music presents a new church concert series, with this energy. In addition to works by Johann Sebastian Bach for solo organ, played by organ professor Tobias Lindner from Basel on the Goll organ, this queen of instruments will take on an almost majestic splendour this evening in combination with drums and trumpets, in George Friedrich Händel’s “Music for the Royal Fireworks”. Immanuel Richter, Huw Morgan and Jon Flurin Buchli from the Basel Symphony Orchestra will present the trumpet in its many facets; Alex Wäber, solo drummer in the Basel Chamber Orchestra, will really get the music swinging with his dynamic beats and twirls.
The works for trumpets and drums are played by the musicians in the gallery (centre-left).
