Klosters Music plans to hold summer concerts in 2020

Dear Visitors, Friends and Supporters of Klosters Music,

Klosters Music will continue to perform the summer concerts in 2020. A final decision will be taken following the Federal Council’s decisions of 27 May. Until then, those responsible will work out adjustments to the planned concerts as well as concepts to ensure the protection of the audience, artists and staff. Online ticket sales will remain open. Further information will follow on 3 June.

As a result of the COVID 19 crisis, many concert events have already been cancelled. Klosters Music will decide in the next few weeks on the organisation of its concert series from 31 July 2020. This can only be done once the Federal Council’s framework conditions for concert events are in place, which the Federal Council will announce on 27 May.

Klosters Music is currently concentrating on adapting the existing planning to ensure that the planned concerts can be implemented in accordance with the new and strict guidelines currently being drawn up by Swiss associations in the cultural sector. These are mainly based on the recommendations and requirements of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and the corresponding cantonal guidelines. Klosters Music also takes into account the latest protective measures as well as other findings of cultural organisations in Switzerland and neighbouring countries in its planning work. With regard to the intended implementation, it is important to find a balance between ensuring the safety and health of all parties involved and the endeavour to let Klosters Music 2020 take place as far as possible. In view of the recent positive epidemiological figures in Switzerland and the cautiously optimistic signals from the Federal Council regarding the progressing opening of the market, Klosters Music continues to have the firm intention of holding the summer concerts in 2020 without accepting any health risks. A final decision on the implementation of the 2020 concerts will be taken following the Federal Council’s decisions of 27 May.

Online ticket sales will therefore remain open. Should it not be possible to hold the concerts in summer 2020, tickets already paid for will be refunded in full and without bureaucracy. Any adjustments to the conditions in the audience area and seating plans will be communicated when the final decision is announced.

Here you will find the programme brochure and further information on the programme.

With the realization of its concert series, Klosters Music strives to contribute to the cultural and touristic summer program of Klosters even in difficult times. The foundation therefore wants to once again provide musical highlights for guests and locals, in compliance with the Federal Council’s guidelines for musical events.

With warmest greetings – and stay healthy!
