ECHOES OF THE GUITAR

MILOŠ, GUITAR

Date:
Wednesday, 5. August 2026
Time:
7:00 pm
Duration:
100 min with interval

The guitar as we know it today did not exist in the Baroque period. So it is all the more wonderful that Miloš has had works by Domenico Scarlatti, George Frideric Handel and Jean-Philippe Rameau arranged for guitar for his latest Baroque album and will be performing them in the first part of his recital in the Church St. Jacob in Klosters: an interplay of light and shadow, of supreme expression and meditative silence. The “Chaconne” from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Partita No. 2 for solo violin is also included, a piece that is nothing short of iconic for the exceptional Montenegrin musician. Miloš was the first guitarist to play a sold-out recital at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, which seats around 5,000. His technical perfection and melodious playing have taken him to the top of the classical music world. Works by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and a detour to the Beatles bring even more colour to the programme: singing with the guitar!

Written advance ticket reservations will be accepted from December 5. Online ticket sales at klosters-music.ch and through the tourist offices in Klosters and Davos will open on March 1, 2026.
