27 July 2024: Opening Concert “Crossing Continents”

The opening of Klosters Music was celebrated with a brilliant concert by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under the direction of Maxim Emelyanychev to standing ovations in the sold-out concert hall of the Arena Klosters. You can listen to the concert from 21 August, 8.00 pm, onwards on SRF 2 Kultur on the programme “Weltklasse”.

3 August 2023: “Beauty and Fragility”

The program features Antonio Vivaldi, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Johann Sebastian Bach with Arabella Steinbacher (violin), Magali Mosnier (flute), Martin Klett (harpsichord) and the Kammerakademie Potsdam.

30 July 2022: Opening Concert “Romantic Awakening”

Experience once more fire and passion with the Spanish conductor Pablo Heras-Casado and the grandly performing Münchener Kammerorchester. The concert programme includes Rossini’s Overture to “William Tell” and Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s “Italian Symphony” as well as Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the soloist Francesco Piemontesi.

4 August 2021: “Between Here and There – A Time there was”

Rudolf Lutz’s entertaining organ concert from last summer can be heard again on the radio. On 20th February 2022 at 4 p.m., the show “im Konzertsaal” will broadcast the concert of August 4, which was called “Between Here and There – A Time there was”. The concert presents not only original works by Johann Sebastian Bach, but also several transcriptions such as the second movement of Antonín Dvořáks 9th Symphony “From the New World”

18 August 2021: “Timeless Splendour”

Originally born from the spark of passion for historical performance practice at the Zurich Opera House, the Orchestra La Scintilla has become an almost indispensable part of the concert season in connoisseur circles. The public can look forward to a spectacular evening of baroque spendour in Klosters in 2021. The unique voice of the exceptional soprano Julie Fuchs, a star from the Opera House, Zurich, who has been honoured with numerous prizes and awards throughout her career, can be heard together with the Orchestra La Scintilla in the impressive Graubünden mountains.

7 August 2020: “Reason and Revolution”

The 150th birthday of the great composer of Viennese classical music, Ludwig van Beethoven, was celebrated very festively on 7 August 2020 («Reason and Revolution»): Under the direction of Pablo Heras-Casado, guests were able to enjoy the Overture from «The Creatures of Prometheus», Opus 43, Symphony No. 3 in E flat major, «Eroica»Opus 61 and the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D major, Opus 55. Both the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Veronika Eberle (violin) were able to present to the audience a worthy tribute to the composer, who died in 1827.

2 August 2020: “Opera Gala”

For those who could not be present in the concert hall of the Klosters Arena on the evening of 2nd August 2020 («Opera Gala») and of course for all those who would like to relive the unforgettable musical moments with Christiane Karg, the opportunity is offered to listen again to the voice of the exceptional German soprano and the Basel Chamber Orchestra (Riccardo Minasi, Conductor) thanks to the recording by SRF2 Kultur. The concert recording from Klosters takes us back to the world of Symphony No. 35 in D major as well as the realm of the playful and emotional arias of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
