Maurice Steger, Christoph Croisé and the ensemble “Il pomo d’oro” come together to celebrate the composers who shaped the musical world before Beethoven changed it forever. The first part of the concert explores Viennese masterpieces from the High Baroque and early Classical era. Haydn’s Cello Concerto, which opens the second half, is the perfect foil for Mozart’s effervescent Serenade, “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”, the perfect ending for a summer evening in Klosters.
