Symposium
2–5 August 2027, from 2.00 pm, Kulturhuus, Klosters
The symposium brings experts from the fields of violin making, research, conservation and musical practice together. The focus will be on the Guarneri del Gesù ‘Sainton’ from around 1744. During four afternoons, various aspects of Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù, his working methods, the historical reception of his instruments and the latest scientific findings will be explored.

Exhibition
An accompanying exhibition, running from 2 to 7 August 2027, will showcase original Guarneri del Gesù instruments, the ‘Sainton’ facsimiles from the competition and images of Guarneri del Gesù instruments at the Kulturhuus.
