Music sounds better on brass instruments. That is the core message of the Septura Brass Septet London, which will dazzle audiences on Swiss National Day with three trumpets, three trombones and a tuba in the concert hall of the Arena Klosters with virtuoso arrangements of classical hits. Rossini’s overture to the opera “William Tell” will be featured, as will Händel’s brilliant “Fireworks Music” and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” with its catchy promenade, which connects the individual pictures such as the “Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks” and “The Great Gate of Kiev”. Srdjan Vukašinović will bring a whole new dimension to the concert on Swiss National Day. The Swiss accordionist with Serbian roots is renowned for his virtuosity and his heartfelt performances. He brings deep emotion to life in Astor Piazzolla’s tangos. His medley, featuring folk tunes from England and Ireland, builds a bridge to Switzerland – blending the familiar with the unexpected.
