Vernissage with Patrick Devonasartist

If anyone claims that there is no one left nowadays who can paint like Rembrandt, then that is a myth. Patrick Devonas’ painting not only convinces with its use of the techniques of the old masters, but also takes myths and legends from past and present as his subject matter. His shifting of the subject to social topics of modern life is clearly illustrated in his independent, imaginative pictorial compositions. Through his artistic use of what is known as “réalisme imaginaire”,Patrick Devonas manages to create a multi-layered narrative ranging from stories from Klosters and the Prättigau to global social and political issues. We are delighted to present an extensive exhibition of his work to the guests of Klosters Music at Atelier Bolt.
