Mozart Opera Gala – a first for the Prättigau, and an opportunity to experience some of the greatest moments in opera with the multiple award-winning soprano and well-known Mozart singer Christiane Karg. The programme includes the overtures and arias from “The Marriage of Figaro”, “Così fan tutte”, “Mitridate”, “Idomeneo”, “Don Giovanni” and “Lucio Silla”, masterpieces which connect with the emotions like no other. The Gala closes with Beethoven’s very dramatic “Ah, perfido!”. The Basel Chamber Orchestra, multiple ECHO KLASSIK prize winners, will be conducted by one of the most outstanding talents to emerge on the European scene in recent years, Riccardo Minasi. Mozart’s Haffner Symphony is the perfect curtain raiser for this magical evening.
