Buy ticketsColoraturas resemble champagne pearls: sparkling, stimulating, soaring!
When the French soprano Julie Fuchs sings coloratura arias by Mozart and Rossini on her return to Klosters, she will spread pure joie de vivre with her vocal artistry right from the outset of the festival. “Joie de vivre” can also be experienced in the orchestral works, such as the exuberant overture to Gioachino Rossini’s opera “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” or the effervescent third symphony in D major by Franz Schubert. The Camerata Salzburg is considered ideal for this repertoire with its committed and vibrant playing. Mozart is a home game for the Salzburgers anyway. And so the opening concert closes with his famous motet “Exsultate, jubilate”, in which Julie Fuchs gives the audience almost celestial joy.
